Chatham Hall is seeking an Interim Athletic Director for the 2025-2026 school year. Chatham Halls athletic program encourages students to push themselves physically and mentally while stressing the importance of and joy that can be found in physical activity. The Interim Athletic Director at Chatham Hall oversees the entire athletic program. The ideal candidate will be knowledgeable about current trends, forward-thinking, engaging, a skilled communicator, and a strong proponent of girls participation in athletics. Additionally, this person will have a strong understanding of health and wellness and be able to communicate that and demonstrate through role modeling. This position serves as a member of the Administrative Leadership Team and reports to the Rector (Head of School).
Key Responsibilities
Developing and implementing relevant athletic programming for adolescent girls.
Leading and mentoring the Assistant Athletic Director, Athletic Fellows, and a team of strong coaches, and assuring the professionalism of the program.
Overseeing Game Operations coverage.
Developing and managing the budget.
Overseeing equipment and facilities, including uniforms.
Managing transportation.
Determining appropriate professional development for coaches.
Scheduling athletic contests.
Communicating with various areas of residential school life, including the Health Care Center, Dorm Advisors, Teaching Faculty, and Grounds and Maintenance.
Assuring maintenance of appropriate social media outlets.
Overseeing athletic recognition ceremonies.
Attending conference leadership meetings.
Maximizing usage of the new Athletic, Health, and Wellness Center.

Required Qualifications
Completion of a college degree (proof of degree required).
Ability to support and lead Chatham Halls afternoon activity program.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
A desire to work with high school students in a residential setting.
Possession of a valid driver's license with no restrictions.
Desired Qualifications
Experience managing or coordinating school athletics.
Experience coaching soccer, field hockey, lacrosse, basketball, tennis, or another sport.
