It's a great place to work and a beautiful place to live! Starting Wage: Certified Nursing Assistant I - $21.74+ / depending on experience Certified Nursing Assistant II - $25.52+ / depending on experience Internal Hires:
Pay rate will be determined based on applicable personnel rule or union contract terms. Job Summary: Under direct supervision of a licensed RN, the CNAs will provide basic nursing care to patients and/or residents in accordance with the patient's and/or resident's assessment and treatment plan. In addition, they will support and maintain a safe and clean environment for patients and/or residents. Incumbents will be assigned a specific home unit but may be floated to other areas for additional support when needed. The CNA needs to be proficient in speaking English in order to accurately and effectively communicate with patients and/or residents. Patients include those from a variety of backgrounds, cultures, socio-economic standing, education, etc. Depending on the unit in which they are working, they may be required to learn specific skills necessary to provide the best care to patients and/or residents. Minimum Qualifications for the Job: License(s):
Current State of Alaska Certified Nurse Assistant License. Certification(s):
Basic Life Support (BLS), State of Alaska Food Workers Card, Techniques for Effective Aggression Mgt (TEAM) & Behavioral Emergency Response Team (BERT) training within 90 days of hire.
Experience:
No prior experience required. CNA I's are required to complete initial advanced skills training checklists and advance to CNA II level within 6 months.
CNA II : Master entry level CNA I skills and duties and complete initial advanced skills training checklist within 6 months of hire. CNA II must maintain quarterly skills training checklists and competencies.

Originally known as St. Ann s Hospital, the hospital opened in 1886 and was operated by the Sisters of St. Ann until the 1960s. In 1965, the hospital s operations were turned over to the City and Borough of Juneau, and a new facility was built at the hospital s present location on Hospital Drive. Bartlett Regional Hospital is licensed for a total of 57 inpatient beds and 16 residential substance-abuse treatment facility beds in the Rainforest Recovery Center. The hospital serves a 15,000-square-mile region in the northern part of Southeast Alaska. Approximately 55,000 people reside in our service area, with most communities inaccessible by road.
