The Southcentral Foundation (SCF) Behavioral Health Consultant works with customer-owners, either self-referred or referred by a provider, to recognize and address psychological symptoms and conditions using the bio-psychosocial model. This position has two levels, designed to provide progressively more responsible and independent work experiences. Progression depends on demonstrated ability to handle more complex assignments. Qualifications:
SCF serves primarily Alaska Native people affiliated with Cook Inlet Region, Inc. (CIRI), and Alaska Native and American Indian people within SCF’s service area. Employees should understand the cultures and needs of this population to support SCF’s vision of wellness and its mission of working with the Native Community to achieve health and well-being: Master’s degree in behavioral health (Counseling, Psychology, or Social Work) OR PhD/PsyD in Clinical or Counseling Psychology. Obtain Alaska Clinical Licensure within four (4) years of hire. Additional Qualifications for Behavioral Health Consultant II:
Must meet all requirements of Behavioral Health Consultant I, plus: Two (2) years of supervised clinical work experience for Master’s level; or two (2) years post-graduate clinical experience for PhD/PsyD; or proven proficiency as a Behavioral Health Consultant I at SCF. Current Alaska Clinical Licensure. Native Preference:
