Req#: PHYSI004926 The Southcentral Foundation (SCF) Physician is responsible for providing direct clinical customer care and collaborates with other clinical staff to establish medical protocols and treatment regimens. Benteh Nuutah Four Directions in Wasilla is an adult outpatient substance use treatment center offering a Medication for Addiction Treatment (MAT) program. The Addiction Physician will lead the MAT program, working closely with a Registered Nurse to serve patients with substance use disorders, chronic pain, and mental health conditions. This role involves co-managing these conditions and coordinating care with other healthcare professionals. The clinic functions as a bridge, initiating medication and stabilization at Benteh Nuutah Four Directions MAT, then transferring stabilized patients back to their primary care providers for ongoing treatment. The Physician will build relationships with the MAT program at Anchorage Four Directions for consistency and information sharing, acting as a MAT consultant for Benteh Nuutah Valley Native Primary Care Center and other departments as needed. Opportunities to share addiction treatment knowledge through presentations, preceptorships, and other activities within and outside the Tribal health system may also be available. Qualifications
MD or D.O. degree required Licensed as a Physician in Alaska Current American Board certification in a relevant specialty Meets all requirements for associate medical staff membership and privileges Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; additional certifications (ACLS, NRP, ATLS, ALSO, PALS) as relevant Additional Qualifications for Four Directions Department
Obtain Qualified Addiction Professional (QAP) approval within three years of provisional provider approval from the State of Alaska Fellowship in addiction or similar experience preferred Employee Health Requirements
