* * Daily case load may vary, but majority of procedures include CT Guided Biopsies (Lung/Liver/Kidney/Bone/Adrenal/etc.), CT-guided draining tube placement, PICC Line placements, and Ultrasound guided biopsies. * Expected workload of 75% Interventional Radiology and 25% Diagnostic Radiology. * Potential leadership opportunities with vacancies for both Chief of Radiology and Assistant Chief of Radiology positions. * Part-Time and Fee Basis appointments are also available. * Academic and co-op opportunities are available as well due to co-location on the University of Kentucky campus, adjacent to University of Kentucky Medical Center.
The Lexington VA Health Care System (LVAHCS) provides care for Veterans throughout central, eastern, and southern Kentucky. The veteran population in Lexington s primary service area is estimated at more than 92,000. The Troy Bowling Campus , located adjacent to the University of Kentucky Medical Center, is a fully accredited, two-division, tertiary care medical center with an operating capacity of 168 hospital beds. This campus offers acute medical, neurological, surgical and psychiatric inpatient services. Other available services include emergency care, medical-surgical units, acute psychiatry, ICU, and progressive care. The Franklin R. Sousley Campus , established in 1931, has a Community Living Center and cottages with hospice and respite services. This campus also houses Primary Care, Women s Health, prosthetics, optometry, dental, audiology, mental health and substance abuse treatment, along with rehabilitation treatment including massage therapy, acute rehab, and PTSD residential treatment. LVAHCS also maintains community outpatient clinics in Berea, Hazard, Morehead, and Somerset, KY to provide primary care services to veterans located outside the Lexington area. The facility holds a 5 Star CMS rating and is one of seven VA Safety programs of excellence while being rated among the Top 25 VA best places to work.
