This is a “player-coach” role for a front-line leader who excels at guiding a team of high-performing Territory Managers, cultivating strong agency partnerships, and executing profitable growth strategies aligned with the goals of Berkshire Hathaway GUARD Insurance Companies. The Eastern Region includes the following states: ME, VT, NH, MA, CT, RI, NJ, NY, PA, WV, OH, KY, DE, DC, MD, VA, NC, SC, FL, LA, MS, GA, AL, and TN. Key Responsibilities: Lead and develop a high-performing sales team, managing, coaching, and inspiring Territory Managers to ensure consistent sales strategy execution. Drive strategic agency growth by cultivating long-term relationships with agency partners to expand market presence and achieve profitable premium growth. Implement and oversee a structured sales process, utilizing tools and metrics to focus on agency relationships. Collaborate with distribution leadership to identify growth opportunities, optimize territory alignment, and expand regionally. Analyze agency productivity, market dynamics, and competitor activity to inform tactical decisions and align with underwriting and distribution goals. Qualifications Minimum of 5+ years experience managing field distribution Proven ability to develop and maintain strong agency partnerships Solid knowledge of commercial insurance including Worker’s Compensation, Businessowners’, Commercial Auto, and Umbrella Strong familiarity with the Eastern Region’s agency networks, market conditions, and competition Excellent sales and team management skills Bachelor's degree preferred Willingness to travel regularly within the region by car and air Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; Power BI experience is a plus Seniority level
