Job Summary:
The Senior BIM Designer serves to be responsible for organizing, assembling, and issuing presentation drawings, design drawings, construction drawings and project documents. The Senior BIM Designer works from sketches, models, written and verbal information supplied by clients and designers to determine the most appropriate views, details, and supplementary information needed to complete projects. The Senior BIM Designer resolves most graphic conflicts with minimal supervision. This person would need to be organized and work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and multiple ongoing projects at one time.
In this role, you will:
- Support Structural projects with Revit & AutoCAD software on new construction and tenant improvement projects
- Maintain a collaborative environment between CAD Support, Designers, and Project Managers
- Complete work as requested utilizing company software and standards
- Create AutoCAD files for use as production documents from Revit, 2D and 3D Files
- Evaluate new BIM related software and technologies
- Prepare and maintain structural BIM models, including maintenance of referenced architectural models, BIM file management, and file transfer protocols, to allow simultaneous production by a large multi-person team without loss of productivity
- Create advanced custom 3D and annotative Revit families using parametric functions, shared parameters, and custom materials
- Coordinate in 3D design with multiple disciplines
- Support in Management of software
- Lead the development and maintenance of CAD and BIM standards and templates in our business unit. Train current and new hire staff.
- Lead documentation and training in best practices
- Be a leader on the implementation and support of Revit throughout the organization for maximizing collaboration and value to clients
- Required to succeed in this role:
- 7+ years using Revit, CAD, and BIM 360
- Above average skill in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and computer trends/technology
- Strong written and verbal skills
- Provide a visual portfolio of work
- Preferred but not required:
- Two-year college degree in CAD or drafting studies
- Experience in architecture and/or interiors design practice
- Point cloud scanning/processing
- Excellent team leadership, consensus-building, and creative alternative-generation skills for driving solutions with team buy-in, while listening for needs of each individual discipline
- Good communication skills are essential for team-based working, for verbal and written communication with clients, and teaching others about best practices in the BIM environment
- Excellent planning and organization skills required for our fast-paced environment
- Must be highly motivated, proactive and willing to take on new challenges. Able to work under pressure and adhere to strict deadlines
- Ability to conceptualize and design practical solutions
- Support and follow company initiatives and standards
- Express ideas clearly and listen effectively to others

The base salary range for this position is $110,000-$130,000. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
