Now offering a
$3,000 Sign-On Bonus . The starting salary ranges from
$96,562.70 to $146,774.90 annually , dependent on qualifications. This role involves overseeing the review of structural plans, ensuring compliance with applicable laws, codes, and regulations, and assisting in supervising field inspectors and plans examiners. Key Responsibilities
Assist the Chief Structural Inspector in planning, organizing, and supervising work activities. Review structural plans and specifications, conduct inspections, and enforce building codes. Provide interpretations of building regulations and policy development. Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, and homeowners to streamline permit processes. Participate in the Unsafe Structure Board activities and recommend actions regarding unsafe structures. Minimum Requirements
High School Diploma or GED; valid Florida Driver’s License. Certification as a Structural Plans Examiner and Structural Inspector by the State of Florida. Qualifications to review high-rise construction projects. Licensed or certified by the Board of Rules and Appeals with relevant experience. Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, architecture, or related field. Training in the NFIP with a Certified Floodplain Manager (CFM) certification within 12 months. Additional Information
