The BIM Fire Sprinkler Designer is responsible for producing detailed and accurate fire alarm system designs using Revit 2019. This role involves collaborating with various construction trades to ensure the seamless integration of fire alarm systems into the overall project design and construction process. This position will be for an industrial manufacturing client estimated project length of one year with possible extension. Key Responsibilities
1. Design and Modeling: Create detailed fire sprinkler system designs using Revit 2019, ensuring compliance with industry standards and project specifications. Develop 3D models of fire sprinkler systems, including pipes, fittings, and sprinkler heads, to support BIM coordination and clash detection. 2. Coordination and Collaboration: Coordinate with architects, engineers, and other construction trades to integrate fire sprinkler systems into the overall building design. Participate in design reviews and coordination meetings to address any clashes or conflicts in the design and resolve them effectively. 3. Documentation and Drawings: Prepare and maintain accurate and up-to-date fire sprinkler system drawings, including plans, sections, and schedules. Ensure that all documentation is clear, concise, and meets the required standards and specifications. 4. Quality Assurance: Conduct regular reviews of fire sprinkler system designs to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with relevant codes and standards. Implement quality control measures to identify and address any issues or discrepancies in the design. 5. Communication and Support: Communicate effectively with project stakeholders, including contractors, subcontractors, and clients, to provide updates and address any inquiries or concerns. Provide technical support and guidance to construction trades on the implementation of fire sprinkler systems. 6. Problem-Solving and Innovation: Identify and resolve any design challenges or issues that arise during the project. Contribute to the continuous improvement of fire sprinkler system designs and processes, leveraging BIM technologies and best practices. 7. Training and Development: Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and regulations related to fire sprinkler systems and BIM. Participate in training sessions and workshops to enhance skills and knowledge in fire sprinkler design and Revit 2019.
