Our client is looking for an experienced IT Manager - ServiceNow Configuration Manager (CMDB) to lead the configuration management strategy and drive the maturity of our client's CMDB and ITOM capabilities. This leadership role will oversee the design, implementation, and ongoing optimization of the ServiceNow CMDB, ensuring it supports critical business operations and provides meaningful visibility to stakeholders. This is a fully remote position.
IT Manager - ServiceNow Configuration Manager Responsibilities and Duties:
- Lead and manage the configuration of ServiceNow CMDB and ITOM modules
- Ensure CMDB integrity through strong data modeling, CI class categorization, and relationship mapping
- Align the CMDB with the ServiceNow CSDM framework and configure the Identification and Reconciliation Engine (IRE)
- Develop and maintain dashboards and reporting tools to provide executive-level insights into CMDB health and performance
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enforce CMDB governance and support key initiatives
- Champion best practices and continuous improvement in configuration management processes
- At least 5 years of hands-on experience with ServiceNow CMDB and ITOM modules
- ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) certification required
- Deep knowledge of CSDM framework, IRE configuration, and CMDB best practices
- Proven experience with CMDB data modeling, CI relationships, and reporting
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
