Job Title: CMM Programmer at HI-LEX North America Join to apply for the CMM Programmer role at HI-LEX North America . Description The CMM Programmer is responsible for writing CMM programs for various parts and gauging, and overseeing the quality lab. Essential Functions Program and operate Coordinate Measurement Machine (CMM) using PC DMIS software. Interpret internal and customer blueprints by applying GD&T principles. Manage weekly CMM schedule. Align and secure holding fixtures and gauges. Create CMM programs from supplied CAD files. Communicate CMM results and interpret data with internal engineering and quality staff daily. Calibrate and troubleshoot CMM equipment (Brown & Sharpe & Mitutoyo). Secondary Functions Communicate with staff regarding measurement system methods and analysis. Prepare measurement system analysis reports as required. Perform general administrative duties. Multi-task in an automotive environment. Proficient in Microsoft applications. Qualifications High school diploma or GED equivalent. 3 to 5 years’ experience and/or advanced CMM training. Previous tier one automotive experience, familiarity with stamping products is desirable. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Competence in detailed drawing interpretation and GD&T. Physical Requirements and Working Conditions Factory environment with noise from manufacturing equipment and exposure to dangerous machinery. Possible risk of injury around equipment. May need to lift, carry, or move objects up to 50+ lbs.
