$5,000 Sign-On Bonus Available, Relocation Assistance Available Department Details This position offers a 40-hour work week with a $5.00 differential for working all shifts as needed. Flexibility for various shifts is essential. Job Summary The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) provides compassionate care for residents during their scheduled work hours in a long-term care environment. You will deliver resident-centered nursing care and assist with daily living activities under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN). Your role is crucial in delivering appropriate care tailored to the physical and psychological needs of each resident. As a member of the nursing team, you will be responsible for: Providing assistance with daily activities such as bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting. Monitoring and recording vital signs while offering psychosocial support. Assisting residents with mobility, including transferring and repositioning using proper techniques. Creating a positive dining experience by assisting with meals and ensuring nutritional needs are met. Documenting resident interactions and changes in condition, and communicating concerns to the charge nurse. Participating in wellness programs and encouraging resident engagement in recreational activities. Maintaining cleanliness in living areas through housekeeping and laundry services. Qualifications Preferred: High school graduate or GED. Minimum age of 16 with prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred. Required: Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification with the State Board of Nursing, or enrolled in a training program to obtain certification within four months. Completion of yearly competency testing and maintenance of continuing education records (12 hours required annually). Drivers may need to meet specific qualifications based on facility policies.
