Precision Manufacturing / Thermal Systems / Dip & Vacuum Brazing Position Overview We are seeking a highly skilled

CNC Programmer

with a strong engineering focus (not quality-focused) to join our precision manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience developing CNC programs for complex components and assemblies, particularly in environments supporting

dip brazing or vacuum brazing

projects. This role requires expertise in CAD/CAM programming, fixture design, and knowledge of manufacturing standards related to mechanical inserts and tolerancing. Key Responsibilities Develop and prove out CNC programs for milling centers using

CamWorks

and/or

MasterCam 3D , based on CAD models, engineering drawings, and parts lists. Generate tooling lists, setup sheets, and obtain required tooling to support efficient machining. Design custom workholding fixtures (e.g., jaws, vacuum fixtures) using

SolidWorks . Modify and improve existing CNC programs to optimize quality and cycle time. Read, interpret, and validate NC code to ensure alignment with design intent and manufacturing requirements. Apply strong understanding of hole prep for helicoils, keenserts, PEM inserts, dowel pins, etc., per

military and manufacturer specifications . Utilize GD&T and standard linear/ordinate dimensioning techniques in interpreting and producing precision parts. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Manufacturing Engineering, Planning, and Production) to support smooth process flow. Qualifications & Experience Required: Minimum

5 years of experience

in CNC programming and machining in an engineering setting. Proficiency in

CamWorks

and/or

MasterCam 3D

for programming directly from 3D models and 2D drawings. Understanding of precision manufacturing requirements related to

dip brazing or vacuum brazing

is strongly preferred. Solid knowledge of GD&T and mechanical fastening inserts (helicoils, keenserts, etc.). Familiarity with computer systems including Windows, Microsoft Office, Adobe, and file management practices. High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certifications a plus. Preferred Industry Background Candidates with experience at companies such as

Boyd (Lytron) ,

CA Design , or

Wakefield-Vette or in similar precision machining environmentswill be strongly considered. Seniority level
