Overview
Responsible for the accurate and timely sampling, testing, shipping, and storage of plasma collected from donors. Main responsibilities include collecting plasma samples, ensuring proper storage, accuracy of unit labeling, utilizing sterile techniques, conducting daily calibration of equipment, troubleshooting equipment failures, and maintaining a clean work environment. Must understand and comply with health, safety, and environmental policies. Bilingual skills may be required. High school diploma or equivalent required, with minimum three months' work experience in a medical or health provider environment. Must be able to perform basic math calculations. Working conditions include standing and walking up to 100% of time, reaching, bending, kneeling, lifting up to 25 pounds, and exposure to hazardous chemicals and blood borne pathogens.
