The National Security Sector at Leidos currently has an opening for a Counter-WMD Advanced Technologies Scientist/Engineer in Albuquerque, NM, as part of our Counter-WMD Systems Engineering and Integration Team, supporting the Defense Threat Reduction Agency. Primary responsibilities include modeling and analyzing weapon system performance and aerial dispersal phenomenology.
This position is new work expected to be awarded later in 2025.

In this role, you will:
Perform high-fidelity model development, improvement, validation, and technical parametric studies of weapons systems, focusing on energetic and non-energetic materials and weapons performance.
Utilize experience in inorganic and organometallic chemistry, explosives, indoor air quality, air exchange rates, and filtration techniques to advise the program manager on scientific and technical issues.
Analyze digital engineering tools and support, promoting a holistic design approach using models and data, facilitating data integration across models, and fostering a culture of risk reduction, cost savings, and schedule efficiency.
Required Security Clearance:
Active TS/SCI clearance is required; however, highly qualified candidates willing to upgrade from Secret clearance may be considered.
Required Experience, Skills, and Education:
Active Secret security clearance with the ability to upgrade to TS/SCI.
Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a scientific discipline with 12+ years of relevant experience.
Experience with DTRA research, development, testing, or evaluation.
Desired Experience, Skills, and Education:
Active TS/SCI clearance.
Graduate degree in engineering or a scientific field.
Prior experience supporting DTRA RD-TS or RD-CXW programs.

Pay Range:
Pay Range: $104,650.00 - $189,175.00
