$38.72 - $58.08 / hour. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience Summary: As a key member of our healthcare team, the Cardiac Imaging Specialist performs essential diagnostic procedures that assess cardiac structures and hemodynamics, adhering to the highest standards of practice. Responsibilities: Conduct echocardiography procedures, selecting and utilizing appropriate transducers based on patient anatomy. Recognize normal and abnormal structures, ensuring quality imaging for accurate diagnoses. Review patient history and physician orders while educating patients about procedures, equipment, and exams to ensure their understanding and cooperation. When necessary, prepare and administer contrast media and/or medications within the scope of practice, monitoring patient conditions and reporting any changes. Implement safety standards and perform quality control procedures on imaging equipment. Address any equipment malfunctions effectively. Utilize critical thinking skills and decisive judgment in a fast-paced environment, taking appropriate action with minimal supervision. Requirements: Registered Sonographer: Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer or Registered Cardiovascular Sonographer. Graduate of an accredited Ultrasound Technologist or Diagnostic Medical Sonographer program, with RDCS or RCS certification. Minimum Experience: None required. BLS certification from the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer must be obtained before the start date, valid for at least sixty days after hire.
