About the Role:
Google has a requirement for a highly skilled and detail-oriented
Carrier Field Test Engineer
to ensure the robust performance and quality of Modem on mobile devices for Google's requirements. This role involves execution of Carrier Test plan in the field and collect the logs for all failure and create a bug to triage and resolve Responsibilities:
Technical Documentation, manage certification schedules, defect coordinator (bugnizer), tracking service level agreements and risks Coordinate with third party labs for carrier certification, test sample preparation coordination, software/firmware familiarity and over-the-air updates coordination Carry out tasks that involve provisioning and flashing of devices, shipping, logistics planning, and log/report archiving Organize, execute, maintain, and complete carrier compliance matrix documents Collect, organize, and maintain other carrier documentation including test reports, process materials, and technical documentation Provide project management, scheduling, and domain expertise support for carrier certification testing activities including: modem feature bring-up, safe-for-network testing (SFN), lab conformance (LC), interoperability testing (IOT), field testing, application-level testing, and other carrier pre-testing executed locally, at first-party labs, and/or at third-party labs Manage the issue, triage, prioritization, reproduction, and resolution of carrier * reported certification issues (bugs) * provide responses to carrier partners in their issue tracking systems (where applicable) and maintain service levels as defined by Google or the carrier partner (where applicable) Collect and/or produce carrier-requested documentation including release notes, test reports, process materials, and other reports (as required) Service: Receive, inventory, maintain, prepare, and deliver Carrier Samples of Pixel devices and related accessories. Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Audio Engineering, or related technical field. Proven experience in Modem testing. Strong understanding of Carrier test plan Experience with mobile device testing, flashing and log taking
