Job Title: Cardiac Cath Lab Tech Profession: Cardiac Cath Lab Tech Specialty: Cardiac Cath Lab Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 10 Experience: Minimum 1 year License: Not specified Certifications: RCIS, ACLS, R.T., ARRT, R.T. (R) Must-Have: - Experience in scrubbing and ability to pan for Cath Lab Techs. - Experience in circulating for Cath Lab RN. Description: The unit consists of 2 cath labs, 1 EP lab, and 1 IR Neuro lab. There are 7 staff members for the cath/EP lab and 6 for the IR Neuro lab. The staffing for day shift includes 4 Techs and 3 RNs for Cath/EP and 3 Techs and 3 RNs for IR Neuro. There are no night shift positions. The patient-to-staff ratio is 1:1. Key equipment includes Temporary Pacemaker, Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump, Impella, Penumbra, Shockwave, IVUS, IFR, and GE mac lab monitoring/Innova imaging. The electronic medical record systems used are Mac Lab and Meditech. Preferred candidates will have experience in Electrophysiology, Interventional Radiology, and Interventional Neuro. Typical procedures include Diagnostic and Interventional Heart Catheterizations and Interventional Radiology. The ideal personality fit for the team is assertive. Staff may be required to float to the Emergency Department or Discharge Lounge as needed. Dress code comprises scrub color/attire in seal blue. Rotating call after hours and weekends is expected, approximately 50% of the month.
