Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) An experienced
Certified Welding Inspector (CWI)
is needed to perform quality surveillance activities in line with assignment scope. This role involves
monitoring, observation, document review, and selective hands-on inspection
to ensure supplier-furnished materials and equipment comply with technical and quality requirements of procurement documents. Key Responsibilities:
Verify materials and equipment meet procurement document requirements and recognized codes/standards. Identify and reject non-conforming items; collaborate with suppliers and project quality personnel to resolve non-conformances. Provide detailed weekly documentation and reporting. Travel to supplier and sub-supplier locations as needed. Qualifications:
Current CWI certification. Strong computer skills. Reliable transportation and willingness to travel. Experience with inspection of: Compressors (Centrifugal - API & General Purpose) Pumps (Vertical Sump, Centrifugal ASME, Magnetic Drive Horizontal) Shell & Tube Heat Exchangers Spray Nozzles Pressure/Differential Pressure Gauges Electrical equipment including Integral Unit Substations, Switchyards, and Packaged Power Distribution Centers Related sub-supplier components: piping, structural steel base plates, mills, and grinding
