We have an exciting opportunity for a Chief Engineer for Gateway Lab Operations GRAIL to join our team with Nexus, a partner company. The Chief Engineer for Gateway Lab Operations GRAIL will: Support the GRAIL (Gateway Ready Avionics Integration Lab), a critical testing facility for the Gateway Program returning to the Moon. Provide expertise on facility and emulator design fidelity. Lead development and integration of high-fidelity avionics hardware and software in the lab. Support engineering flight project schedules, procurement documentation, budgets, and system requirements. Review integrated analysis of the GRAIL system, hardware, and software in relation to other Gateway systems and operational environment. Participate in system requirements reviews, preliminary and critical design reviews. Review system architecture trade studies and analyses to inform facility design and performance decisions. Identify risks, develop risk statements, and plan risk mitigation strategies. Present lab fidelity concepts to customers and panels. Perform additional duties as required. Maintain good communication and organizational skills, working effectively in a team environment. Requisition Qualifications: This position has been posted at multiple levels. Depending on experience, requirements, and business needs, candidates at any advertised level may be considered. Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field, with approximately 10 years of experience. On-location position with situational telework options. Experience in developing and integrating high-fidelity labs. Understanding of electrical, mechanical, and power systems. Ability to organize and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines with limited supervision. Experience working collaboratively in a team environment. Requisition Preferences: BS degree in Engineering from an accredited school. Previous experience with NASA. Experience with avionics is a plus. Why Join Our Team?
