5-10 years of civil design Proficient with
AutoCAD Civil 3D
software required. Familiarity with industry standards for civil and design illustration Ability to communicate well both verbally and in writing Ability to prepare proposals for projects, including estimating fees This position offers an excellent opportunity to be part of the Civil Team Leadership Group: leading with strong technical skills to solve site development civil challenges for clients and helping the civil team's continuous improvement efforts in setting up design processes, QAQC checklists, and strong production drawing and modeling templates (Civil 3D). The work varies across local, regional, and national levels (we are licensed to work in the lower 48 states). The projects are diverse, serving Federal Government, Local Municipal, Retail, Commercial, Healthcare, and Industrial clients. The role provides opportunities to lead large multi-million-dollar, multi-discipline projects as the Civil Discipline Lead or oversee numerous smaller projects, providing guidance and mentoring to civil designers and technicians. Skills Familiarity with current design trends and local codes Familiarity with Federal Facility Criteria Whole Building Design Guide Familiarity with industry standards for civil and design illustration Strong verbal and written communication skills Experience in preparing project proposals and estimating fees Willingness to travel overnight by car and air as needed Effective communication with clients and potential clients Working knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D software Activities - Site Civil Senior Engineer This role includes responsibility for the technical completion of civil engineering site development projects, including scope definition, feasibility studies, design proposals, narratives, reports, specifications, calculations, system modeling, review of geotechnical reports and site surveys, client and city meetings, site observation reports, documentation, and RFI responses. Collaboration with in-house and remote teams is essential. The candidate must thrive in a multi-discipline team environment, delivering projects on time and within budget. Limited travel for documenting existing conditions may be required.
