Join our amazing team as our newest Emergency Veterinary Liaison. Our focus is on being a place of comfort for our clients and pets, in sickness and in health. You will have an open door for growth opportunities ranging from becoming a veterinary technician, a DVM, specialty medicine, and future management positions! This opportunity is an excellent position for a PreVet Student or someone looking to stay in the veterinary profession as you will work hand in hand with the ER and their staff, relaying information to clients and hospital staff while helping to organize the service's daily schedule. The Emergency Liaison is also the client advocate, making sure the client's needs and concerns are addressed on all levels. Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities Will Include:
Triage and obtain vitals for each patient presenting to the ER Obtain a detailed history and presenting complaint from each client Maintain clean exam rooms Enter patient information, history, and medical information into the practice management system Assist DVM in medical record creation Go over Emergency estimates with clients Assist as needed with Diagnostics and treatments ordered by the doctor Verify discharge instructions with DVM Go over discharge instructions with Clients and answer any questions they may have Communicate with staff to check out the client and finish any final responsibilities before releasing the pet to the client Skills Knowledge and Expertise
Organized Works well with others Able to follow directions Able to work quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced environment Neat, clean, and adheres to WHAH uniform Able to work full-time hours including weekends Able to lift up to 50 lbs Must have experience working with the public Veterinary hospital experience is recommended, or other doctors' office is highly preferred Previous experience or training/education working in a veterinary facility Must be well groomed, friendly, outgoing, and "people-oriented" Ability to work in a team-oriented environment Excellent communications skills, both written and oral Telephone and computer skills as well as intermediate math skills Must possess sound decision-making skills and be able to prioritize multiple tasks at once, demonstrate exceptional organizational skills, embody attention to detail and deal with high levels of stress in an environment of changing priorities Must be able to take direction and interact with all levels of staffing in a professional manner Benefits
