Associate Medical Director

GoHealth Urgent Care The Associate Medical Director assists in the managing and directing of all clinical services for their assigned urgent care centers and geographic region. They are primarily responsible for the quality of care and all issues related to the clinical care-givers within their assigned geographic area. They collaborate across and within regions to share resources, implement improvement initiatives, and optimize clinical, financial, operational and customer service performance. Education requirements include an M.D. Degree or equivalent from an accredited College of Medicine, completion of Medical Residency in Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine, or Internal Medicine Pediatrics, with Board Certification or eligibility. Administrative experience in emergency medicine, urgent care, or related field is required, along with outstanding communication and management skills. The candidate must be currently licensed as a physician in Oregon and Washington. Essential functions include developing relationships with local providers and service agencies to improve patient flow, providing direct patient care, overseeing quality and performance improvement programming, assisting in recruitment and training, completing regional staffing schedules, analyzing staffing needs, participating in policy development, responding to emergency events, and mentoring employees. The role requires proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and electronic medical records, with preferred skills in data analytics and EPIC EHR super-user level.
