About the Role
Act in a lead position, providing technical direction over a group of civil designers and functioning as a technical specialist and consultant for our internal staff.
Lead new business development, promote repeat and referral business with existing clients, and participate in networking events and business development meetings.
Prepare and review project proposals, qualification statements, promotional materials, and professional services agreements; responsible for their preparation, obtaining internal and external approvals, and managing final execution and subsequent amendments.
Plan, develop, coordinate, and direct the team during project execution.
Take an active role in coaching, mentoring, and delegating responsibilities to less-senior staff; provide daily on-the-job training for team members.
Serve as the primary contact with clients; foster effective internal and external communication between clients and team members.
Develop and implement project schedules and resource management plans to facilitate timely performance.
Manage project budgets; communicate budget allocations to staff for their respective assignments.

Education
Bachelor of Engineering from a four-year, accredited engineering program.
Active PE license required.
Experience
Typically, a minimum of 10 or more years of experience in Civil Engineering.
Demonstrates effective leadership skills in mentoring, training, coaching, and developing team members.
Understanding of principles, practices, codes, and standards of civil engineering.
Advanced knowledge of the approval and permitting process for projects.
Strong technical writing skills.
Effective communication, financial management, and leadership skills to manage schedules and budgets.
Timely and effective communication within the team and with clients, agencies, and other disciplines.
Serves as the main point of contact with the client, conveying client goals and objectives to the team.
Proven ability to direct and complete multiple projects with various clients effectively.
