Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Neonatal Intensive Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 12
Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Active RN License Certifications: NRP
Must-Have: Candidates must have NRP certification. Candidates must have NICU experience.
Description: This position is for a travel registered nurse specializing in the neonatal intensive care unit. The unit has 42 beds and a staff of 80. The night shift consists of 1 clinical nurse coordinator and 11-13 registered nurses, along with 1 unit coordinator. Patient ratios are 3:1. The unit is equipped with isolettes, some CPAP units, PIVs, and central lines. Electronic medical records are maintained through a designated system.
Typical procedures performed on the unit include circumcisions and ROP exams. Ideal candidates will fit in well with a drama-free and upbeat team. The unit encourages a collaborative environment focused on neonatal patient care. This opportunity offers the chance to work with experienced staff and access to new equipment and technology.
