Join Optum Behavioral Care, a leading innovator in healthcare, as we seek a Mental Health Therapist to be part of our dedicated team. You'll play a vital role in transforming healthcare delivery and improving the lives of our patients.
The Licensed Therapist will provide essential clinical services as part of the Collaborative Care Model (CoCM) within a primary care setting, working closely with primary care providers and psychiatrists to enhance the mental and physical health of our patients. This position offers the exciting opportunity to be at the forefront of an innovative healthcare model that prioritizes patient well-being.
This role is embedded within our healthcare partner, Western Washington Medical Group , and follows a Monday to Friday schedule, ensuring no evening, weekend, or holiday hours.
This hybrid position allows for remote work one or two days a week, with on-site presence required at the medical clinic on the remaining days.

Key Responsibilities:
- Utilize both virtual and in-person modalities to coordinate patient care effectively
- Conduct assessments and screenings for common mental health and substance use disorders
- Monitor treatment progress and track changes in clinical symptoms
- Assist with psychotropic medication management as directed by medical providers
- Implement brief, evidence-based behavioral interventions tailored to patient needs
- Engage in regular consultations with psychiatric consultants to optimize patient treatment
- Develop discharge plans with completed relapse prevention strategies for patients reaching their treatment goals

Required Qualifications:
- Valid licensing in Washington state as:
- Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) or Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC)
- Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT)
- Minimum of 3 years of experience treating patients (children and adults) with behavioral health conditions
- At least 1 year of experience in a primary care or integrated medical behavioral setting
- Expertise in evidence-based psychosocial treatments and brief interventions for common mental health disorders
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in the Collaborative Care Model (CoCM)
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and effective follow-up
- Ability to build productive relationships with patients and care team members
- Proficiency in using technology for patient interactions
- Bilingual in Spanish
The salary for this position ranges from $59,500 to $116,600 annually, depending on various factors including experience and qualifications. UnitedHealth Group offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive programs and a 401k contribution, subject to eligibility requirements.
