Responsibilities
Advise clients on acquisitions, dispositions, sales, financings, leasing, and development of commercial properties Manage all aspects of complex real estate transactions from structuring to closing Handle commercial office and retail leasing matters Lead negotiations and draft key transactional agreements and documents Conduct and oversee title, survey, environmental, and entity-level real estate due diligence Support clients with development projects, including entitlement, zoning, and tax issues as applicable Play an integral role with business development and the firm's succession plan
Advise on commercial lending and secured credit facilities
Build and maintain strong client relationships as a trusted business advisor
Drive business development efforts and contribute to the firm’s growth strategy
Mentor and collaborate with colleagues, fostering a collegial team environment

Requirements
Bachelor’s degree and at least 10 years of experience practicing commercial real estate law Portable book of business required Demonstrated expertise in a wide range of real estate transactional work, including leasing, acquisitions, dispositions, development, lending, and financing Strong negotiation skills and the ability to manage and close sophisticated transactions independently Excellent writing and oral communication abilities Self-starter with exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving skills Strong interpersonal skills and confidence to build and maintain client relationships Admission to the bar in Illinois or Colorado, or eligibility to waive in (open to relocation candidates meeting these criteria)
