RETS Associates is representing a prestigious Life Sciences CRE firm, seeking a talented Investment Analyst / Associate to join their team in San Diego, CA . The Analyst/Associate will provide investment and asset management support to regional teams charged with acquisitions, dispositions, capital markets, and maximizing asset value through leasing, capital initiatives, development, & redevelopment or disposition. These teams cover the United States coast-to-coast, working collaboratively with all levels to achieve investment objectives.
Main responsibilities include:

• Run comprehensive underwriting process including creation of detailed financial models (Excel and Argus), market assumptions, and analyses for Investments and Asset Management activities, capital markets, and other strategic capital allocation opportunities to enhance the value and performance of the assets.
• Identify growth opportunities and recommend appropriate strategies using knowledge of market trends, financial data, and industry benchmarks.
• Contribute to preparation of investment presentations to the Investment Committee.
• Prepare ad-hoc analysis and industry related research in support of potential investment, leasing, or development opportunities.
• Help manage transactional due diligence process and communication with counterparties.

• A bachelor's degree in finance, economics, accounting or related degree from a top University.
• 3-6 years of experience in commercial real estate investments and asset management.
• Advanced Excel skills - you must be able to create models from scratch (there is an assessment). Argus is highly preferred
• Ability to work independently, handle multiple concurrent projects, and meet deadlines
• Passion for commercial real estate and desire to grow with an exceptional team.
