Tyto Athene is searching for a Systems Analyst Journeyman to support U.S. Southern Command on the SCITES II Contract in Doral, Florida. The Journeyman Systems Analyst analyzes business and technical requirements to design and implement IT solutions that align with organizational goals. This position plays a critical role in identifying system improvements, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring systems meet functional and performance requirements. Responsibilities: Conduct system evaluations to identify inefficiencies, recommending enhancements or alternatives to improve performance and usability Gather and document user requirements, translating them into functional and technical specifications for development teams Perform data analysis and modeling to support system integration, configuration, and deployment activities Collaborate with stakeholders to assess current systems, identify gaps, and propose tailored solutions to meet business needs Test system functionality, ensuring alignment with user requirements and identifying bugs or inconsistencies for resolution Coordinates with cross-functional teams to implement new systems or upgrades, minimizing disruptions to operations Develop workflows, use cases, and process diagrams to support system development and optimization Monitor and evaluate system performance post-deployment, identifying areas for improvement and maintaining operational efficiency Prepare detailed reports and documentation on system analysis findings, design decisions, and recommendations, facilitating stakeholder communication and decision-making Qualifications: Associate's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field 4-9 years of experience in systems analysis, system administration, or IT operations Experience working in DoD or federal environments Familiarity with enterprise systems such as Windows Server, Active Directory, or database platforms Understanding of DoD cybersecurity and accreditation processes Desired: Bachelor's degree in related field Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Experience using system modeling tools (e.g., Visio, Enterprise Architect) Familiarity with Agile or DevSecOps methodologies Effective communicator with experience producing technical reports and documentation Knowledge of DoD STIGs, RMF, and system lifecycle management Project+ or CAPM CompTIA Network+ Certified Systems Analyst or similar Clearance: TS/SCI clearance required Certification: DoD 8570 Baseline & CE certifications are required for all positions and may vary slightly depending on the skillset required to perform the role CompTIA Security+ CE Microsoft AZ-104 ITIL v4 Foundation About Tyto Athene Compensation: Compensation is unique to each candidate and relative to the skills and experience they bring to the position.
