We are searching for an experienced Concrete Project Manager at our Tarlton HQ facility.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
MAJOR GOALS AND PURPOSE
The Project Manager will assume overall responsibility for profitable, well-constructed, safe projects, completed in a timely manner. Assigned projects will consist of both General Contractor and Subcontractor roles across varying building/vertical and civil markets. While self-performed concrete will be the focus, projects will involve other managed and self-performed scopes and competencies as required. This individual will also be responsible for the development of Project Engineers and fostering strong client relations.
ESSENTIAL ACTIVITIES
-Adhere to, promote, and enforce Tarlton's safety policies and culture -Assume responsibility for project profitability. -Manage multiple projects concurrently as assigned. -Make binding decisions as authorized by corporate policy. -Facilitate a proactive and effective project start-up, including the estimating hand-off. -Develop and update the cost book and review with project supervision weekly -Prepare monthly cost and billings projections and other project status reports. -Prepare invoices to owner/client as required. -Assume responsibility for the change proposal/change order process -Identify and obtain all necessary permits -Prepare and update the project schedule. -Coordinate with Project Director and Superintendent to determine the most cost-effective construction methods and use of personnel, material, formwork, equipment, and subcontractors. -Coordinate with Superintendent and Project Engineer to track self-perform activity productivity and identify trends and, if necessary, develop corrective action plans -Coordinate construction activities with the owner, subcontractors and Tarlton personnel -Review subcontractor selections with Project Director for approval and approve subsequent subcontractor invoicing and change orders. -Prepare purchase orders for material suppliers and approve subsequent invoices. -Ensure that the project is completed in compliance with project documents and designated quality standards.
Review, submit, and follow up on shop drawing and other submittals in a timely fashion to ensure conformance to the contract documents and specifications.
-Compile required documentation to support legal positions as/if required. -Facilitate a proactive and efficient project close-out process -Participate in and perform estimating activities including quantity take-off, activity pricing, and formwork, equipment, material, and -subcontractor solicitations and identification -Various other dutiesthat may be assigned by the company.
Required Qualifications:
WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL EFFORT
-The employee will be located in a field office at a job site location and/or at Tarlton's corporate office -The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

PREREQUISITES (i.e., Education, Experience)
-Engineering or construction management/technology degree is preferred. -Must have good business/financial sense. -Must have general and practical construction knowledge and experience. -Must have experience on self-performed structural concrete projects -Must have management experience in accomplishing tasks through successful delegation of authority. -Must be proficient with project management (Procore or similar) and scheduling (P6 or MS Project) software -Experience with estimating functions and software is desirable but not required -Maintain current OSHA certificate. -Maintain current Red Cross First Aid certificate.
