We are looking for a full-time arts and culture professional who is interested in supporting our grantmaking and grants management work. This position reports to our Vice President/Arts who leads this portfolio. In it, you will work closely with her, the arts team, colleagues across the foundation, grantees, community groups, government entities and for-profit companies to help build networks of people in support of building thriving communities through arts. This is an in-office position based in Coconut Grove. Key Responsibilities Include: Support the team’s efforts to connect with and invest in people and organizations that show the promising ability to create thriving communities. Assist in the coordination and implementation of initiatives focused on arts and culture infrastructure in our Knight communities and with relevant national partners. Monitor grantee reporting deadlines, support grant documentation, and help organize insights that contribute to the team’s learning agenda. Support relationship management with cultural intermediaries, municipal partners, and networks that are critical to thriving local ecosystems. Work collaboratively with Knight program staff at the intersections of quality information, economic mobility and cultural vibrancy. Collaborate and work closely with the Vice President/Arts and the extended team, providing operational, research and logistical support to execute Knight’s vision to advance cultural vibrancy and expand pathways to economic mobility through the arts. Work with our communications team to create synergies and to amplify the work we do. Co-design and coordinate programs that support artist sustainability, movement-building, and ecosystem centered cultural work through convenings, learning strategies, cross-city brain trusts and more. Support convenings, open calls, sponsorships and representation of the foundation to grantees. Provide support on funding portfolios that strengthen cultural infrastructure, including creative hubs, public spaces, and organizational capacity. Advance policy-relevant strategies that promote community-driven placemaking and placekeeping. Use the foundation’s systems and processes to help manage grant making workflows and ensure accuracy and timeliness of documentation.
