We are currently seeking an experienced and highly skilled Multifamily Assistant Superintendent to join our dynamic team in the construction industry. This role is integral to our operations, providing essential support in the successful execution of multifamily renovation projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction, with particular emphasis on renovation, and a proven track record of managing multiple projects simultaneously. Responsibilities:
As a Multifamily Assistant Superintendent, you will be expected to:
1. Assist in planning, coordinating, and supervising all construction activities on-site, ensuring all projects are executed in accordance with the established schedule and budget. 2. Collaborate closely with the Project Manager and other team members to ensure all project requirements are met and any issues are promptly addressed. 3. Ensure that all construction activities comply with safety regulations and quality standards, conducting regular inspections and audits. 4. Manage subcontractors and suppliers, coordinating their activities and ensuring they meet project specifications. 5. Assist in the preparation of project reports, maintaining accurate records of construction progress, changes, and other relevant information. 6. Foster a positive and productive work environment, promoting teamwork, resolving conflicts, and facilitating effective communication among team members. 7. Participate in pre-construction and post-construction meetings, providing valuable input and feedback. 8. Carry out any other duties as assigned by the Superintendent or Project Manager.
Qualifications:
To be considered for the Multifamily Assistant Superintendent position, candidates must meet the following qualifications:
1. A minimum of 3 years’ experience in the construction industry, with a focus on multifamily ground-up or renovation projects. 2. Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, with strong organizational and time management skills. 3. Comprehensive knowledge of construction methods, materials, tools, and equipment. 4. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a proven ability to lead and motivate a team. 5. Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to make sound decisions under pressure. 6. Proficiency in relevant software applications, including project management and scheduling tools. 7. A commitment to safety, with knowledge of current safety regulations and best practices in the construction industry.
