Base pay range $185,000.00/yr - $225,000.00/yr Direct message the job poster from Haydan Consultants Inc. This position is to provide Estimating Review services which are oriented towards the numerous facilities and projects that are the responsibility of the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey. This position is not line-department specific, i.e. the tasks may be related to any business unit of the Port Authority including Tunnels, Bridges and Terminals, Ports, Aviation, PATH or WTC. The Estimator must have a strong technical background in construction estimating, including the following: Possess an Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management or related degree from a US accredited college or university. Demonstrate at least ten (10) to twenty (20) years’ experience with a variety of construction trades for building, heavy/civil and infrastructure construction. Experience must include the development of unit prices and/or lump sum estimates based on labor, materials and equipment. Ability to communicate and interact effectively with design and field engineers/architects, project managers, contract engineers, schedulers, and financial analysts. Skill sets in Microsoft Office 365 including Excel, Word and Outlook. Be legally present and authorized to work in the United States, as per the federally required I-9 Program. A valid driver’s license is required. Candidates must be Estimators. Not more than half of the candidate’s Project management experience can be considered as total experience. Preferred Qualifications: Expert knowledge of Microsoft Excel, and working knowledge of estimating software Prior experience as an estimator for “horizontal” construction. Experience preparing or reviewing estimates of construction changes, and all disciplines for consistency, accuracy, and conformance with project scope. Seniority level
