Full-time Job Summary:
We are representing a private single-family office (SFO) based in Bellevue, WA, focused on the long-term ownership, management, and strategic growth of a diversified real estate portfolio. This is a high-trust, hands-on Controller position reporting directly to SFO management and family principals. You will oversee day-to-day accounting operations across 10+ entities, produce timely and accurate financial reporting, and manage key vendor relationships. The ideal candidate has multi-entity experience, is highly detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment. Responsibilities:
Real Estate & Entity Accounting • Oversee full-cycle accounting for multiple real estate LLCs • Manage monthly close and reconciliation processes across all entities • Track capital contributions, distributions, and inter-entity lending activity • Reconcile property management reports and monitor property-level performance • Prepare property-related cash flow forecasts Financial Reporting & Oversight • Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements to management and family principals • Lead cash planning, forecasting, and liquidity management across entities • Maintain and improve SOPs and financial workflows • Own the accounting calendar and ensure timely close cycles • Drive accounting strategy, policy documentation, and process improvements Tax & Compliance Coordination • Coordinate with external tax advisors to support timely preparation of partnership, personal, and trust tax returns • Ensure accurate delivery of K-1s and other tax documentation • Support compliance with LLC agreements, trust structures, and applicable filing requirements Vendor & Advisor Management • Oversee AP/AR functions across 10+ entities • Manage relationships with vendors, outsourced accountants, legal counsel, and property managers • Review vendor contracts, ensure proper coding, and oversee payment processing • Administer vendor onboarding, compliance tracking, and contract term monitoring Must Have Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting or Finance • Minimum 8 years of hands-on accounting experience • Multi-entity accounting experience, preferably with real estate LLCs • Experience with intercompany lending and allocations • Proficient in QuickBooks and Excel • Strong cash planning and forecasting skills • Proven experience preparing and presenting financial statements to leadership • Strong written and verbal communication skills • High attention to detail, accountability, and confidentiality Nice to Have:
• CPA designation or prior audit experience • Background in real estate investment operations or family office structures • Familiarity with investment performance reporting tools or document management systems • Exposure to multi-entity lending and structuring complexities
