Building Automation Systems Technicians & Controls Engineer

This position involves working as part of a team with other specialists at client or project sites to ensure proper installation of control systems, as well as providing diagnostic and repair services. Candidates should have experience working with building automation systems and energy management systems, with a good understanding of mechanical systems, HVAC systems, and energy management principles. Niagara AX certification is strongly preferred, along with experience with Honeywell and Johnson's JCI products. Building Automation Systems Technicians install, repair, and maintain computer-based control systems that manage a building's mechanical and electrical equipment, including HVAC and energy management systems. They apply knowledge of various building trades—such as electrical, mechanical, telecommunications, and information systems—to control systems and environmental control equipment in commercial and industrial buildings. Responsibilities include installation, start-up, commissioning, troubleshooting, software updates, calibration, and testing of HVAC systems and controls. Candidates should be familiar with environmental energy equipment like heat pumps, boilers, air handlers, chillers, lighting controls, security systems, irrigation, fire alarms, and water leak detection.
