Black & Veatch has an exciting opportunity for a Conveyance Practice Lead / Senior Project Manager focused on water and wastewater projects and programs in Tulsa. This position represents a strategic business opportunity for Black & Veatch to help the company grow its market share by providing world-class water & wastewater infrastructure planning and design services for major pump stations and large diameter pipelines. BV's Water Solutions business works to provide sustainable and innovative solutions, integrated planning, design and construction support for critical facilities. By joining our business, you will provide infrastructure solutions for community benefit on behalf of regulated utilities and government agencies. Lead major projects or programs from planning through construction. Present updates to external client stakeholders and support decision-making. Provide oversight of the program schedule and budget using Black & Veatch's internal processes and manage large inter-discipline teams of internal and subconsultant resources. Lead a team that provides technical solutions and differentiation focused on water supply intakes, pump stations, large-diameter pipelines, tunnels, wastewater lift stations, force mains, and collections system, including condition assessment and rehabilitation. Provide recommendations on client's processes, organization, and readiness to embark on major programs and alternative project delivery. Support the team's use of risk-based assessments to develop and prioritize capital improvement programs. Provide project execution, quality control, and technical leadership to support large water and wastewater projects and programs and to identify innovative solutions to maximize benefits to municipalities and utilities. Lead and provide technical expertise to support marketing and business development. Support pursuit, proposal, and project interview activities. Work closely with Client Directors and the Area Director to develop relationships with clients and decision makers in Tulsa. Help mentor professionals and grow the team by identifying high quality candidate and recruits. Professional Engineer (PE) license in Oklahoma 15+ years of relevant water engineering experience including but not limited to water and wastewater infrastructure planning, asset management, CIP optimization, detailed design, and construction Experience managing large water and wastewater programs and projects Knowledge of local, federal and state permitting requirements and funding mechanisms Excellent verbal and written communication skills and comfort in a client-facing role discussing technical topics and solutions Experience providing input and oversight of technical tasks and project teams performing studies and assessments of water and wastewater projects Proficient with report writing and PowerPoint presentations Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work both within a team and independently Willing and able to travel to project sites and client meetings as needed Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
