A prominent law firm is seeking a highly motivated mid-level associate to join its Corporate/M&A practice. The ideal candidate will have experience working on a broad range of M&A transactions, including private and public company buy- and sell-side deals. This position offers the opportunity to work on complex, high-profile transactions while collaborating with a dynamic team of experienced professionals. Location
Charlotte, NC Duties
Handle all aspects of M&A transactions, including private and public company buy- and sell-side deals. Draft and negotiate transaction documents, including purchase agreements, disclosure schedules, and related documents. Manage and coordinate due diligence processes. Advise clients on transaction structuring and execution. Collaborate with senior attorneys and cross-functional teams on deal execution. Provide strategic counsel to clients on mergers, acquisitions, and corporate restructuring. Requirements
2 to 6 years of experience working on M&A transactions. Strong client management and communication skills. Proven experience with document drafting and due diligence in M&A transactions. Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment. A self-starter with excellent organizational and multitasking abilities. Prior experience in both public and private company transactions is preferred. Education
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school. Certifications
Active membership in a state bar (preferably Georgia, North Carolina, Texas, or Florida). Skills
Strong analytical, drafting, and negotiation skills. Deep understanding of M&A processes and transaction structuring. Excellent communication skills, both written and oral. High level of attention to detail and strong organizational skills. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team setting.
