PHYSICIAN ASSISTANT The Physician Assistant, as an interdependent member of a primary care team, will function within established plans outlined below. He/She will be required to exercise sound professional judgment while providing primary health care services to ambulatory patients within the specified population serviced by the clinics. The family-oriented practice embraces preventive, curative, chronic and health promotion to individuals from infancy to old age and includes early stages of illness to chronic disease and the promotion of wellness.
Patient assessment, diagnosis and therapeutic measures will be carried out in close association and collaboration with the Physician Assistants' supervising physician, clinic physicians, appropriate specialists and health care agencies in the community. Appropriate information may be given to the patient and the family concerning the diagnosis and plans for therapy as part of this close collaboration.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Successful completion from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
Licensed as a Physician Assistant in the state of Idaho.
Current NCCPA certification for Physician Assistants.
Two (2) years of experience in primary care.
FAMILY NURSE PRACTITIONER (FNP) The Family Nurse Practitioner is an independently licensed practitioner but also an interdependent member of the primary care team, and will function within established plans outlined below. He/She will be required to exercise sound professional judgment while providing primary health care services to ambulatory patients within the specified population serviced by the clinics. The family-oriented practice embraces preventive, curative, chronic and health promotion to individuals from infancy to old age and includes early stages of illness to chronic disease and the promotion of wellness.
Patient assessment, diagnosis and therapeutic measures will be carried out in close association and collaboration (when appropriate) with the clinic physicians, appropriate specialists and health care agencies in the community. Appropriate information may be given to the patient and the family concerning the diagnosis and plans for therapy as part of this close collaboration.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Successful completion from an accredited Family Nurse Practitioner.
Licensed as a Family Nurse Practitioner in the state of Idaho.
Current ANA or AANP certification for Family Nurse Practitioners.
Two (2) years experience in primary care.
