Sr. Manager, D365 Solutions Architect
Overview
The Solution Architect for Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations (D365 F&O) is a strategic technical leader responsible for designing, developing, and guiding the implementation of scalable application architectures within the D365 F&O platform. Operating at the intersection of technology and business, the Solution Architect collaborates with Finance, IT, and executive teams to deliver secure, high-performing solutions. This role requires deep technical expertise in D365 F&O, application lifecycle management, and a commitment to continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities
Architecture & Design
Lead the design of architectures for D365 F&O to meet business needs. Create architectural documentation, application models, and integration patterns. Translate business requirements into secure, scalable D365 F&O configurations and customizations. Oversee integrations between D365 F&O and other applications. Leverage platform functionalities and custom development, including X++, extensions, and Azure technologies. Implementation
Perform gap analyses and propose solutions. Provide technical leadership during implementation phases. Coordinate with analysts, developers, and project managers for delivery. Define and enforce application standards. Manage system configurations, data models, security, and workflows. Review customizations and integrations for maintainability and adherence to best practices. Continuous Improvement & Innovation
Stay updated with D365 F&O releases and technologies. Lead process optimization initiatives. Promote technical excellence and knowledge sharing. Monitor application performance and compliance. Mentor team members. Ensure designs comply with security, governance, and regulatory standards, including SOX. Other
May oversee other team members’ work. Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a related field; Master’s preferred. 10+ years in application architecture, focusing on D365 F&O. Experience leading at least 2 full-cycle D365 F&O implementations. Microsoft certification: MB-700. Skills in X++, data modeling, Power Platform, Azure DevOps. Experience with security, workflows, and process automation. Knowledge of Agile/Scrum and project management tools. Experience with integrations and compliance processes. Core Skills
Strategic vision, analytical thinking, technical mastery. Excellent communication and leadership skills. Ability to collaborate and adapt quickly. This position may be offered at different levels based on education and experience. Salary will be adjusted accordingly.
