Senior Data Architect - Remote
Join Sikich as a Senior Data Architect in our Data & Analytics practice. You will design and implement modern data architectures, focusing on relational databases, data lakes, and cloud-based solutions on Microsoft Azure. Your role will involve modernizing data infrastructure, establishing data governance, and creating scalable ecosystems to support advanced analytics and AI capabilities. Responsibilities include: Designing scalable data architecture solutions to meet current and future business needs Developing data integration patterns and frameworks Creating reference architectures for data implementations Defining master data management strategies and overseeing their implementation Creating and maintaining data models and dictionaries Evaluating and recommending data technologies based on business requirements Developing migration strategies for legacy data systems Identifying and mitigating technical risks Collaborating with engineering teams to ensure proper architecture implementation Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in computer science, IT, or related field; Master's preferred Minimum of 8 years in data architecture or related roles Proven experience with enterprise-scale data solutions and BI platforms Expertise in data modeling, relational and NoSQL databases, and big data technologies Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP) Proficiency in programming languages like Python, SQL, Scala Certifications such as Azure Data Engineer or AWS Data Analytics are a plus Key Competencies: Problem-solving and analytical skills Excellent communication to bridge technical and business stakeholders Ability to work independently and collaboratively Strong documentation skills Proactive issue resolution and adaptability At Sikich, we foster a diverse and inclusive environment, offering comprehensive benefits and opportunities for growth.
