Description
Come lead our Detox team at Aurora Mental Health & Recovery (AMHR) as a Shift Coordinator. Our Shift Coordinator manages a team of 3-6 clinicians for a shift (Day, Swing, Overnight). Responsible for the care of up to 24 clients, coordinating all intakes, discharges, and transfers to other levels of care. The role serves as community liaison with multiple hospitals and law enforcement agencies. The role also oversees all EC/IC activity. The ideal candidate is both a strong clinician and leader capable of supervising up to 6 staff of various disciplines. Candidate will be organized, detail-oriented, and effective at multi-tasking in a busy environment. Candidate will be positive, a team player, and a supportive leader to staff. Our Detox Center provides 24/7 care to individuals experiencing acute intoxication or withdrawal from drugs and/or alcohol. The level of care is ASAM 3.2 (Social Model Detox). The team monitors the treatment progress of clients in a 30-bed clinic.
Salary for this role. Starting wage is based on experience, credentialing, and company equity. Paid bi-weekly. Shift Coordinator I: $24.25 - $36.36 per hour - Requires CAT (Certified Addiction Technician) certification or Bachelor's degree and plans to earn a CAS certification. Shift Coordinator II: $26.68 - $40.00 per hour - Requires CAS (Certified Addiction Specialist) certificate Schedule.
This position is fully Onsite/In-person. Available schedules are:
Wednesday -Saturday Day Shift:4x10-hour shifts 6:30 am - 4:30 pm Shift Differential Pay.
The Day weekend shift differential is paid 7 am to 3 pm on Saturday and Sunday only; the Swing shift differential is paid from 3 pm to 11 pm and the Overnight shift differential is paid 11 pm - 7 am
Swing Weekday (Mon-Thurs): $1.25/hour Swing Weekend (Fri, Sat, Sun): $1.75/hour Day Weekend (Sat, Sun): $1.00/hour Bilingual Language Differential Pay.
*rate depends on language requirements for the position and the candidate's fluency.
Employees will receive scheduled earnings on a bi-weekly basis, equivalent to 5% of their regular base rate (hourly or salaried), with a maximum amount of $3,000.00 per calendar year. The annual maximum amount will be prorated based on full-time equivalency (FTE). Essential Duties:
Lead a work group and provide direction on a daily basis. Provide feedback to employees. Assist Clinical Manager with reviewing resumes and interviewing candidates. Serve as the primary trainer of all new staff, or designates a senior member of the team to provide this training. Assist with scheduling. Assist the Clinical Manager with the daily operations of the Unit, including identifying and organizing supplies needs, receipts from purchases and ensuring that all paperwork is accounted for and completed correctly. Assist in the development and implementation of treatment and disposition plans that address the client as a whole-person. Participation in crisis and behavior management/de-escalation interventions as needed, according to state regulations, training, and established best practices. Develop and facilitate psychoeducational groups. Assist with case management functions as needed. Assist with intake procedures including decontamination, documentation, inventory of client belongings, and orientation to the facility. Assist with discharge procedures. Conduct one-on-ones to ensure that the treatment team has a comprehensive understanding of the clients self identified needs. Provide trauma-informed interventions that minimize harm and restrictive measures and empower clients to share responsibility in their recovery plan. Maintain a safe therapeutic environment that emphasizes recovery, resilience and building a sense of community. Qualifications
Requirements:
Current CPR/First Aid Certification or ability to obtain within six months of hire. Two years of related experience and/or training. Shift Coordinator I Requirements:
High School diploma with Certified Addiction Technician (CAT) actively registered with Colorado Department of Regulatory Affairs (DORA) or Bachelor'sdegree with plan to obtain CAT credential within 18 months from hire date.
Shift Coordinator II Requirements:
Bachelor's level degree is required. For candidates grandfathered into the Certified Addiction Specialist (CAS) credential, High school diploma or equivalent is required. Certified Addiction Specialist (CAS) credential is required.
Required Vaccination and TB Test.
