The IT Technician Level II is responsible for promoting the casinos high standards of guest service while providing IT Help Desk calls and emergency on-call support when needed. Duties include installation, maintenance and troubleshooting of all gaming, voice, data and wiring needs, provides end user software and hardware troubleshooting support, ensures proper installation of software and configuration of gaming equipment and assists with all other installations related to phones, audio/video and gaming equipment. Performs regular inspections and maintenance for data rooms including switches, connections and related equipment and performs upgrades and new system builds. Performs additional job related duties as assigned by the department manager.
Position starts at $34.02/hr and increases to the standard rate of $35.81/hr at the successful completion of 90-day orientation period. This full-time position features excellent employer-paid medical, dental, vision and life insurance benefits.
Education:
High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required Associate's Degree in Computer Science or related technical training preferred Expert knowledge of Windows OS, POS Systems, telephone systems, audio/visual systems and computer design is required Additional education or related experience may substitute for the minimum requirements of the position Experience & Requirements:
Must have a minimum of one year experience in an IT environment for an organization of comparable size and IT needs Six months experience as an IT Technician I required Must have verifiable ability to troubleshoot computer software and hardware problems, network set up and POS systems Must be able to work all scheduled shifts to include day, swing, graveyard and holidays Competencies (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities):
Computer hardware, software, operating systems, and audio/visual equipment, including Point of Sale (POS) systems, voice/data systems, and emerging technology Service, maintenance, repair best practices, inventory control, and casino/IT operations, as well as departmental policies and procedures Operating personal computers, software programs, and voice, video, and sound systems Troubleshooting technical issues, delivering excellent customer service, and clear communication Service, maintain, repair, and troubleshoot computer systems, POS devices, and networked equipment Communicate effectively, follow instructions, multitask, prioritize under pressure, and maintain confidentiality PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Standing or sitting for prolonged periods of time Use of hand-eye coordination and finger dexterity Lifting, bending, carrying, and stooping Walking, pushing, or moving supplies, materials, or equipment weighing up to 50 pounds Ability to concentrate in loud and busy environments Must be able to work in a smoke-filled environment Perform work in confined or elevated spaces Additional Requirements:
Must be able to work all scheduled shifts to include day, swing, graveyard and holidays
