We are seeking a skilled Cloud Network Engineer to design, implement, and manage secure and scalable cloud networking solutions. This role involves optimizing cloud network infrastructure, ensuring high availability, and enhancing security for cloud-based applications and services. In this role, you will design innovative network structures, following security best practices for our networking operations and engineering.
Responsibilities:
Design, deploy, and maintain cloud network architectures in public clouds (Azure, AWS). Configure and manage virtual networks, SD-WAN, firewalls, and load balancers. Implement security best practices, including network segmentation, encryption, and network policies. Enhance the security posture of multi-cloud environments, implementing advanced solutions to safeguard data and operations. Collaborate with security operations and architecture to address network security gaps. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement seamless integrations across PaaS, IaaS, and SaaS environments. Monitor and manage Avid's multi-cloud networking environments, driving incident response, root cause analysis, and problem resolution to enhance system reliability. Evaluate and integrate cloud-native networking solutions, such as service meshes and private links. Implement networking best practices to optimize and simplify cloud platforms, achieving significant cost savings and operational efficiency. Established processes to ensure compliance with SOX and PCI standards, including detailed evidence creation and audit readiness. Research and introduce emerging cloud networking technologies and trends to simplify and modernize the network footprint. Act as the escalation point for networking-related issues, including security, resolving complex challenges and ensuring seamless team collaboration. Drive automation initiatives, leveraging Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and Configuration as Code (CaC) to enhance operational efficiency and reduce manual tasks enhancing scalability. Support cloud disaster recovery plans and business continuity strategies, ensuring minimal downtime and operational resilience. Monitor and improve networking metrics and KPIs, promoting operational excellence and accountability. Participate in on-call rotations to provide after-hours support, ensuring uninterrupted operations. Advocated for automation to streamline day-to-day operations, reducing manual workloads and improving system efficiency. Qualifications:
3-5 years of proven expertise in cloud networking technologies and infrastructure design within Azure, AWS, or similar public clouds. Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar technologies. Experience with SD-WAN, cloud firewalls, and Web Application Firewalls (WAF). Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while delivering high-quality results. Understanding of cloud cost optimization and network monitoring tools. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to overcoming technical challenges. Familiarity with security frameworks (Zero Trust, NIST, CIS benchmarks). Dependable, motivated, and adaptable engineer. Project Management Skills, including managing complex projects. Proven experience in cloud networking with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud. Strong knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, DNS, VPN, etc.). Strong communication skills, with an emphasis on customer satisfaction. Ability to multitask and conquer changing business priorities. Bachelor's Degree in a relevant technical field. Azure and/or AWS networking certifications. Experience supporting enterprise scale (2000 users+).
