Business Information Developer Consultant
Location: This role requires associates to be in-office 1 day per week, fostering collaboration and connectivity, while providing flexibility to support productivity and work-life balance. This approach combines structured office engagement with the autonomy of virtual work, promoting a dynamic and adaptable workplace. Ideal candidates will be able to report to one of our Pulse Point locations in Richmond, VA, Atlanta, GA, Columbus, OH or Mason, OH. Alternate locations may be considered.

The Business Information Developer Consultant is responsible for developing and executing more complex data mining analyses for pharmacy reporting. Position will develop and maintain requirements, documentation, and related reporting to support pharmacy regulatory and compliance requests. In addition, this position will ensure the implementation and execution of deliverables related to pharmacy reporting and analytics, up to and through delivery.
How you will make an impact:
- Develops and executes pharmacy reports and analyses.
- Uses program languages to extract data.
- Develops new and standard reports utilizing data warehouse information.
- Programs and writes queries and reports.
- Develops and prepares data analyses.
- Handles complex problems/issues where the analysis of situations or data, requires an evaluation of intangible factors, innovative solutions, and effective, collaborative leadership.
- Determines how decision support systems will provide the data required to make effective business decisions.
- Develops strategic report applications from the data warehouse.
- Establishes and maintains excellent knowledge of data warehouse database design, data definitions, system capabilities, programming languages, and data integrity issues.
- Develops and supports complex data warehouse-related applications for business areas requiring design and implementation of database tables.
Minimum Requirements:
Requires a BS/BA degree and a minimum of 4 years related experience; or any combination of education and experience which would provide an equivalent background.
Preferred Skills, Capabilities, and Experiences:
- Degree in Information Management, Data Analytics, or other analytics/software development related educational background highly preferred.
- 3 years related analytical experience including Pharmacy Data Analytics as it relates to drug and claim pricing, and PBM regulatory reporting highly preferred.
- Previous pharmacy compliance and regulatory knowledge highly preferred.
- Understanding of Pharmacy Benefit Manager (PBM) fundamentals highly preferred.
- Ability to become knowledgeable, and maintain understanding of regulatory requirements, requests, specifications, and pharmacy reporting dependencies highly preferred.
- Expert level SQL experience highly preferred.
- Expert level Python experience highly preferred.
- Ability to write SQL code and run complex queries highly preferred.
- Experience supporting an ad hoc reporting environment highly preferred.
- Effective communication with internal stakeholders to translate customer needs into technical specifications for report development highly preferred.
- Working knowledge with SQL/Teradata and combinations of data mining and reporting tools highly preferred.
- Tableau experience and exposure to SAS preferred.
- SAS EG or VIYA experience preferred.
