Description
Data Scientist Xcelerate Solutions is seeking a Data Scientist to deliver cutting-edge data science capabilities for national security objectives. The role involves analyzing results, disseminating findings, and contributing to publications and presentations with actionable intelligence insights. Location: Bethesda, MD Clearance: Must possess TS/SCI clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain TS/SCI with Polygraph. Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with a team of data scientists, software developers, network engineers, investigators, program managers, researchers, and data analysts to design and optimize data science platforms.
- Analyze big data related to national security, cyber security, social media, human behavior, and more.
- Manage multiple projects, work independently and collaboratively, and communicate findings to non-technical audiences.
- Identify novel data sources, improve predictive algorithms, and promote user adoption of data analytics platforms.
- Apply research design, exploratory analysis, and user interface development skills, and engage with customers effectively.
- B.S. in a quantitative or analytical field or equivalent graduate degree.
- 8+ years of experience in data science or related fields; 6+ years with a Master's.
- Active TS/SCI clearance and ability to obtain Polygraph.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as R or Python.
- Experience with research, building, and deploying analytical algorithms and platforms.
- Proven problem-solving and active learning skills.
- Ability to assess software and data requirements effectively.
- Experience with version control tools like git or svn.
- Experience supporting military or intelligence missions.
- Experience with open source data, forensic media, MASINT, cybersecurity, or cyber forensics.
- Knowledge of SQL, Elasticsearch, Kibana, Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift, Knowledge Graphs, and ML techniques.
- Experience with predictive modeling, image and object detection, social network analysis, NLP, and application development around Large Language Models.
- Familiarity with virtualization, distributed systems, AWS, hardware platforms, and application deployment.
