Compensation Analyst - Private Equity - Stamford

$140,000.00/yr - $175,000.00/yr Additional compensation types
Annual Bonus Compensation Analyst We are conducting a discreet search for a detail-oriented and analytical professional to support compensation strategy and HR data operations within a growing and sophisticated organization. This individual will play a key behind-the-scenes role in managing compensation processes, benchmarking, data accuracy, and decision-support analytics. This position is ideal for someone with strong technical and systems skills, experience handling sensitive compensation data, and the ability to translate data into clear, actionable insights for HR and business leadership. Key Responsibilities Support and administer the
year-end compensation process , including system preparation, data validation, report generation, and coordination with HRBPs to ensure alignment between recommendations and performance inputs. Manage and prepare data for
compensation market surveys , analyze results, and assist in translating findings into meaningful comparisons and recommendations. Maintain internal
compensation datasets
including base pay, incentives, deferred comp, and carry programs. Generate benchmarking summaries and
new hire comp assessments
based on internal and external data points. Produce custom compensation reports and
summaries for leadership reviews . Ensure
data quality and integrity
across compensation systems, including accurate tracking of long-term incentive plans and headcount activity. Draft offer documentation and collaborate with relevant stakeholders to ensure alignment with compensation guidelines. Contribute to
headcount modeling
and compensation forecasting activities in partnership with Finance and HR leadership. Provide ad hoc compensation and workforce analytics support as needed. Maintain discretion while working across multiple teams and systems. Preferred Background At least
5 years of relevant experience
in compensation, HR analytics, or related areas. Advanced skills in
Microsoft Excel
(e.g., complex formulas, pivot tables, modeling, data validation). Hands-on experience with
compensation survey submission and analysis
(e.g., Radford, Mercer). Familiarity with
deferred compensation , carry programs, and multi-currency structures is a strong plus. Exposure to HR technologies such as
Workday HCM ,
Compose ,
EWM , or
ADP
is preferred. Prior experience working with or supporting
payroll processes
is a plus, but not required. Attributes for Success Strong
