To prepare for this growth, the organization is seeking to further develop its Information Technology organization.
As a Senior Systems Administrator this individual will share in the responsibilities of managing, and maintaining all elements of the organization's computing Infrastructure. This position reports directly to the IT Infrastructure Manager.
A successful candidate must be able to navigate, manage and execute:
Active Directory GPO management, DNS, DHCP VMware ESXi patching, version upgrades and capacity planning Office 365 license management, user provisioning, mailbox and application administration Wintel systems hardware and software administration, RAID arrays, data backups, system provisioning, shares, patching and hardening Storage Area Network administration Monitoring and alerting on core Infrastructure elements In depth troubleshooting to identify root cause, incident and problem resolution Stay knowledgeable of best practices on installed products and integrate into environment as appropriate Key Characteristics
High degree of self-motivation and attention to detail, excellent communication and interpersonal skills (verbal, written and electronic) and the ability to follow through until task or project completion A track record of continuous improvement both professionally and with deployed infrastructure technologies Ability to learn quickly and work alone or as part of a team in a result-oriented environment A positive attitude and customer-focused mindset Capable of supporting multiple problems/tasks/projects simultaneously Occasional travel including overnight domestic trips may be required Qualifications
Required:
7+ years extensive IT experience in Infrastructure design, implementation, and operational management in mid to large-sized environments 7+ years experience in administering Wintel servers in a Microsoft environment including managing Office 365, Active Directory and associated services Experience administering VMware ESXi, Virtual Center and virtualized servers Security experience protecting multiple vectors such as end-points, servers, networks and physical protection. Experience administering Storage Area Networks Experience creating and maintaining detailed technical documentation Advanced troubleshooting skills with hardware, software, networking, etc. Experience with help desk ticketing procedures and willingness to work tickets at any level Flexible to facilitate on call rotation for incident response and maintenance activities Preferred:
Experience with wired and wireless networking, firewalls, VPN and telecommunications Knowledgeable in managing the maintenance of data center facilities including air handler systems, UPS systems and a backup generator Citrix administration SharePoint administration Experience leading projects, managing resources and reporting project status Experience planning disaster recovery initiatives and associated strategy Successful experience passing SOX audits and remediation of findings
