Position Overview

DEAs Santa Clarita office is seeking a Survey Analyst for full-time or part-time opportunities. Responsibilities include performing technical work in survey control, boundary, topography, ALTA, right of way engineering, and construction surveying for public and private clients. Remote work may be considered for applicants not residing near the office.

Responsibilities

• Providing office survey support to field crews.
• Managing record mapping, ALTA maps, parcel maps, and topographic surveys.
• Preparing maps, conducting record research, and field crew preparation.
• Collaborating with Survey Manager and Project Surveyor.
• Performing research, design, and calculations using AutoCAD or Microstation.
• Assisting with boundary determinations and procedural analysis.
• Processing field data including GPS and conventional data.
• Preparing legal descriptions, exhibits, and plats.
• Performing other duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications

• Associate degree in Land Surveying/Civil Engineering or high school diploma with equivalent experience.
• At least 5 years of survey field and/or office experience.
• Proficiency in Civil 3D, Trimble Business Center, and Microsoft Office Suite preferred.
• Excellent communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Civil 3D and mapping.
• Land Surveyor in Training (LSIT) certification is highly desired.
