Job ID: 2981235 | Amazon.com Services LLC Amazon is seeking an Operations Engineer to support the Amazon Logistics North America (AMZL NA) Operations Integration Engineering team. This individual will be responsible for designing and managing the next generation of delivery station processes, equipment, and operations. As an Operations Engineer at Amazon, you will collaborate with talented engineers in the design, development, and delivery of systems worldwide. This role involves leading initiatives and managing complex cross-functional projects in ambiguous and challenging environments. Key Responsibilities
Integrate systems to enhance safety, security, stability, and efficiency. Participate in the full system development lifecycle, including test plan execution and ensuring solution quality. Manage multiple high-visibility projects, influencing and negotiating with internal and external partners to deliver cost-effective automation solutions aligned with business goals. Define project scope, objectives, and budgets; analyze data; drive metric improvements; and allocate resources effectively. Develop technical solutions involving advanced technology applications, conveyor hardware, automation, and vendor coordination. Lead design and implementation efforts with internal teams and vendors, covering equipment specifications, material flow, process design, and site layout. Participate in design reviews, assessing the impact of solutions on individual systems and overall processes. Build relationships with internal teams such as Start-up, Design, Procurement, Tech, Safety, Change Management, RME, and Operations. Identify and lead process improvement initiatives supporting operations. Develop cross-functional knowledge of systems, processes, procedures, and tools within Operations and Engineering. Travel approximately 75% of the time Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Visio, MS Project) 3+ years of experience as an industrial, operations, manufacturing, or project engineer in a manufacturing environment Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Six Sigma and lean manufacturing Experience with Material Handling Equipment (MHE) Intermediate knowledge of AutoCAD, VBA, and SQL Knowledge of automated material handling systems, packaging technologies, and storage solutions Master's degree Amazon is an equal opportunity employer committed to diversity and inclusion.
