As a Group Manager within Operations, you will drive global efficiencies within the New Product Delivery (NPD) process in console manufacturing. You will collaborate with our global manufacturing sites to develop teams, implement best practices, and lead process improvements. Success in this role requires a passion for manufacturing, team-building skills, and a comprehensive understanding of all functions involved in executing NPD, especially manufacturing engineering activities. Duties And Responsibilities
Lead cross-functional teams to implement new processes and systems for successful new product introductions. Act as a change agent to improve communication and alignment between NPD teams and manufacturing sites, promoting a concurrent engineering approach. Evaluate and improve manufacturing process planning to ensure site readiness within global NPD programs. Drive cultural improvements in PFMEA and Process Control Plans globally. Enhance DFMA processes through training, KPI improvements, and sharing successes; own and develop the process globally. Improve line design concepts and creation—7 flows. Ensure consistency in early estimates for manufacturing routings and capital needs. Consider process automation and related product design requirements. Research emerging technologies for potential adoption in console manufacturing. Develop KPIs, action plans, and report on process results and improvements. Communicate project statuses effectively across all levels of the organization. Maintain a strategic, cross-functional mindset to understand how decisions impact the organization. Education And Experience Requirements
Proven change management skills with the ability to influence various business units and project teams. Experience managing complex projects successfully. International work experience with factories and teams. 3-5 years in a leadership role. Minimum 10 years in manufacturing or NPD with new product launches. Strong project management skills with demonstrated results. Excellent organizational, analytical, and critical thinking skills. Knowledge of line design, manufacturing, lean principles, and process/material flow strategies. Experience with 3D product and process modeling software. Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, agile environment with changing priorities. Willingness to travel up to 50% domestically and internationally. Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering Technology, or related field, or equivalent experience. Desired Qualifications
Experience in Manufacturing Engineering, product design, or launching new products. Knowledge of assembly error-proofing, controls, and automation. Familiarity with risk tools like PFMEA, DFMA, and Process Control Plans. Graduate studies in business areas such as Project Management, Finance, or Organizational Studies preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including MS Project. Understanding of problem-solving methodologies like 8D, root cause analysis, and control charts.
